The Eighty Eight Restaurant ~ Kelawai road, Penang

A fine dining date with my girls in the Eighty Eight Restaurant which located at Kelawai Road, Penang. You can see it just at your left hand side before you left turn into the Sleeping Buddha Temple. Apposite a mobile petrol station, you will see a sharp orange side board there!

 Cozy and Warm restaurant interior.

I'm ready for food! Haha..YumYum..

Bread and Homemade burned butter as starter.

 Soup of the day RM16

 Caesar Salad RM20
Served together with lettuce, marinated cherry tomatoes, Anchovies, Shredded egg white and yolk and drizzled with homemade Caesar dressing. Light and simple but delicious. I love this much!
(I'm a salad lover in fact.)

Saute Clams RM28
Clams cooked in prawn stock, tomatoes, brandy, basil, chili flakes and parsley.
The clams are super fresh and the sauce are taste a little bitter yet sweet.

 Chicken Paprika RM29
Marinated with Spanish paprika, coriander then seared and bastes with butter till tender, served with the rocket salad, chicken puree and micro coriander. Tasted good and recommend for people who love to eat chicken breast than drumstick part. Besides, well matching with rocket salad which bring out the little freshness and sweet taste.

Fish of the day. ( Forget how much the price d...)
Very fresh fish they served. Thumb up for the food quality!

Mashed potatoes served for sides.

Linguine Pasta RM45
Their signature pasta, cooked with sun dried tomato, black olives, cherry tomato, capers, clam, prawns and fish broth. I love the sun dried tomato so much! Super yummy pasta that I had before. (Price a little bit pricey. ) I usually love this type of pasta than white sauces carbonara types.

Spaghetti with Prawns RM32
Cooked with garlic, white wine, chilli flakes, parmigiano and parsley.
Recommend for prawn lover for this spaghetti.

Gratin Sabayone RM19
One of their signature dessert, Egg based custard with Marsala wine, served with fresh strawberry and homemade vanilla ice cream. It taste a little bit like creme brulee. But it surprise us with the fresh cut strawberry hiding inside. Taste delicious!

I forget what the dessert name.
It was something hazel nut and dark chocolate served together with banana.
Quite special and yummy too! I will definitely revisit again!

Birthday girl of the day! Happy Birthday!!

My selfie of the day!
Recently crazy over this Mini Brow Class Drawing Guide helper!

(They are not selling crepe cakes, the crepe cakes is bring in by us!)

The overall food quality is good as in terms of freshness, taste or even food presentation. Besides, the staff over there are friendly. You can ask them for recommended, they able to recommend you their signature food and give you some advice!
